Endomines and Alpine Skier Nanna Kiviranta Aim for Gold Together

Endomines and alpine skier Nanna Kiviranta have signed a sponsorship agreement for the 2024–2025 winter season. This collaboration supports Nanna’s journey towards international success and strengthens Endomines’ role as a supporter of youth sports.

Endomines aims to fulfill its social responsibility by supporting local communities and youth activities, especially in the Ilomantsi region. We have sponsored FC Pogosta’s floorball and football activities, and we will continue to focus on supporting local team sports. Now, we have decided to also support the promising alpine skier Nanna Kiviranta with a small amount on her path to winning gold.

“When Nanna Kiviranta, a young alpine skier from our headquarters’ neighborhood, contacted us, we realized that we have a lot in common: both of us are determinedly paving our way towards gold. We share the same passion, energy, and focus – and an unwavering belief that we will become something great! That’s why we wanted to support Nanna this season,” says Endomines CEO Kari Vyhtinen.

Gold Feels the Best

Recently turned 20, Nanna has been practicing alpine skiing since she was 3 years old. In recent years, she has quickly risen to the top ranks of Finnish alpine skiers. After the 2023–2024 season, she is the second best in her age group in both slalom and giant slalom. Last season, she won the Finnish Championship in slalom in the under-21 category.

“A gold medal is always a gold medal! Nothing beats the feeling of standing on the highest podium and wearing the brightest medal. It’s all smiles then,” Nanna Kiviranta describes.

The Levi World Cup is watched by up to 200 million viewers

Nanna’s goals are both in the Finnish Championships and on international tracks. In the upcoming 2024–2025 season, she will compete about forty times. She most hopes to participate in the Junior World Championships in Italy in February, with selections made at the beginning of the year. In Finland, competitions will be held in Suomu in November and in Levi for the Finnish Championships in April.

“In the Finnish Championships, the goal is, of course, gold. In international competitions, I hope to lower my FIS points as much as possible and thus rise as high as possible in the ranking,” Nanna plans.

Today, November 15th, the Levi Alpine Skiing World Cup begins, where Nanna will act as a pre-skier. This means she will ski the track before the actual competitors and ensure that everything is in order for the competition. TV viewers can follow Nanna’s run through a camera attached to her helmet.

“The World Cup races are watched by about 200 million people worldwide. This year, men will also compete in Levi, making the event significantly larger than before,” Nanna says.

Finnish Gold Comes from the Karelian Gold Line

Perhaps next year, Nanna will officially participate in the competitions – that is the goal. For now, she is focusing on full-time training and development.

“In order for goal-oriented and high-quality training to be possible, all support is “like gold” to me. I proudly wear the logo of the Finnish gold mine on my jacket and tell people that sustainably produced gold comes from the Karelian Gold Line in Ilomantsi. It’s definitely worth falling in love with Finnish gold!” says Nanna.

Endomines wishes Nanna success in her upcoming competitions!
