Toget­her with Liiken­ne ry, we are producing a traffic book for prima­ry school child­ren

The aim of the book project is to teach children the important traffic rules from the very first year of school. This morning we had the pleasure to deliver the newly published books to the new first-graders at Pogosta Primary School in Ilomantsi, were pupils were delighted to receive them. The new books will be used by the children for the whole primary school year. Along with the books, we also gave the new first-graders reflectors for safety.

Every traffic accident that happens to a child is too many. Preventive traffic safety education, started in time, is the best and most effective way to improve road safety for children. The book covers mobility on land, water and public transport, as well as basic road signs. The exercises make it easier to learn the traffic rules.

“-What glitters?” asked our HR Partner Katja Kareinen when she visited the classroom today.

“-Reflector in the dark, glitter, snow and gold” – answered the first graders!
