Endomi­nes infor­ma­tion event in Ilomant­si 7/2/2024

We organised an information event in Ilomantsi on 7.2.2024. At the event, Kari Vyhtinen, the CEO, went through Endomines’ business review and explained the company’s strategy and sustainability plans. The event focused mainly on the company’s exploration. Jani Rautio, the company’s Chief Geologist, presented the company’s exploration programmes, the different stages of exploration campaigns and exploration methods, as well as the permit processes and the timeline from exploration to a potential mine. The event also covered the company’s current exploration areas, how the surrounding areas have been explored and discussions on the company’s operations in general, its expansion and the impact on the neighbourhood.

The event also included a discussion on the company’s sustainability programme and its progress, a survey on Endomines’ sustainability activities, and a hearing the views and concerns of local residents regarding company’s activities. Many questions were asked about landowner’s compensation, land use and, of course, sustainability issues. There was good discussions and sharing of important information on both sides, which certainly opened up perspectives and allowed open discussion and interaction.
